On Saturday evening, a young man attacked his wife with a knife at Dharampura Lalbatti in Seelampur and ran away. Police reached the spot and admitted the seriously injured woman to a nearby hospital. After his health deteriorated, he was referred to GTB Hospital. The woman is not in a position to give any statement right now. Police have registered a case under sections of attempt to murder and are investigating. The victim has been identified as Muskan (20).
At 5 pm on Saturday evening, the police got information about a woman being stabbed at Dharampura Lalbatti. Police reached the spot and took the injured Muskaan to Jag Pravesh Chand Hospital, from where she was referred to GTB Hospital. The condition of the woman is critical and she is not in a position to give a statement. Initial investigation has revealed that the woman had a love marriage with Raj Kohli.
Muskaan is said to be from another community. Both of them got divorced with mutual consent four months ago. Since then Muskaan was living in her maternal house in Shastri Nagar. The case of marital dispute of the woman with her husband is pending in the court. The police officer says that the victim’s family members have been informed about the incident. The reasons for the attack will be revealed only after the arrival of the family members. The accused is being searched.
